Toad in the Hole

Ingredients 8-10 sausages 2 tablespoons vegetable oil 2 large onions, sliced 2 tablespoons plain flour 2 eggs 140ml milk 140ml water 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce Pinch of freshly ground black pepper Pinch of salt 2 tablespoons parsley, chopped Instructions 1. Preheat the oven to 200C/400F/Gas Mark 6. 2. Heat the oil in a large frying pan and add the sausages. Fry for about 10 minutes, until browned. 3. Add the onions to the pan and fry for a further 5 minutes. 4. Place the sausages and onions in a large ovenproof dish. 5. In a separate bowl, mix together the flour, eggs, milk, water, Worcestershire sauce, pepper and salt. 6. Pour the mixture over the sausages and onions in the ovenproof dish. 7. Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes, or until the batter is golden brown and the sausages are cooked through.
